North to the Tetons!
Fot underway about 9:30am. The kids rocked the drive (much of it because we got through 5 hours of Harry Potter #3 on Audible and the movie Coco), while we watched the scenery...well, change.
Clockwise from upper left in each as we progressed :
And then into the mountains...
Some of that was area where you couldn't see anything in any direction (other than the road)
Big Sky country, for sure.
We did make one stop at Flaming Gorge NRA (for the stamp) and to check out the visitor center.
Dam!
Oh, and for gas, which is....cheap in WY.
We finally arrived in Grand Teton around 5:30. So now, instead of 90+ and sunny, it's 65 and about to start drizzling (and likely cooler tonight, hello again, heater!)
Colter Bay is on the North end of GTNP, so we'll check stuff out up here tomorrow - probably a short hike, some visitor centers, and a bunch of pictures of these ridiculous mountains.
We plan to come back to GTNP on the way out of Yellowstone, so we'll save downtown Jackson and the stuff down there for then.
Also, cell/wi-fi service is spotty around here. We'll see how many posts we're able to do in the next week+
Oh, and we found Vermont! 4 to go. We know you're here, West Virginia!
